It was established in 1998 to implement the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) program in the National Capital Region of Delhi, as a joint venture between GAIL (India) Limited, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD). IGL is responsible for the distribution of CNG and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Rewari, Gurugram, Karnal, and Muzaffarnagar. The company&#8217;s vision is to provide clean energy solutions and reduce the carbon footprint in the country.
