Timken Q1 FY26 Earnings Results

Timken India Ltd is engaged in the manufacturing, distribution and sale of anti-friction bearings, components, accessories and mechanical power transmission products for the customer base across different sectors. It also provided maintenance contracts and refurbishment services and industrial services. It was incorporated in 1987 and is a part of the global Timken Group. Presenting below are its Q1 FY26 earnings results.

 

Q1 FY26 Earnings Results

  • Revenue: ₹809 crore, up 3.1% year-over-year (YoY) from ₹784 crore. This has been Timken’s best-ever first quarter.

  • Net Profit (PAT): ₹104 crore, up 8.3% YoY from ₹96.3 crore.

  • EBITDA: ₹142 crore, almost flat from Q1 FY25’s ₹141 crore; EBITDA margin 17.6%, slightly lower than last year’s 18%.

  • Profit Before Tax (PBT): ₹130.4 crore, with a margin of 16.1% (down from 16.6% YoY).

  • EPS: ₹13.86 (previous year: ₹13.03).

  • Revenue Mix: Rail 24%, Mobile 19%, Distribution 18%, Process 18%, Exports 20%. Exports faced headwinds due to tariffs and weak NA truck demand.

  • Bharuch Plant: First CRB line ramped up, began commercial production late June; initial output billed for export markets.

 

Operational & Management Commentary

  • Management notes resilience in demand, continued execution efficiency, and steady operational discipline.

  • Rail segment expansion and Bharuch (plain bearings) capacity build-out proceeding as planned.

  • Export outlook cautious due to US tariff and truck sector weakness, but Timken is mitigating with market diversification.

  • FY26 capex plans include ₹150 crore investment, mainly for Jamshedpur rail and Bharuch bearings.

 

 

Q4 FY25 Earnings Results

  • Revenue for the quarter was ₹940 crores, up by 4.6 percent on the YoY basis.
  • Net profit was ₹187 crores, depicting a growth of 94.7 percent over the last year during the same quarter.
  • Q4 FY25 was a seasonally strong quarter (typically stronger than Q1 for Timken).

  • Q1 FY26 reflected usual post-Q4 seasonality but marks a record for first-quarter results.
