Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) reported a 21 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at INR 290 crore for the quarter ended March. The company had posted a net profit of INR 239 crore for the same quarter an year ago, TCPL, earlier known as Tata Global Beverages Ltd, said in a regulatory filing.
The company’s revenue stood at INR 3,619 crore and is 14 per cent higher as compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, reflecting a strong growth in the domestic business partly offset by lower profits in the international business due to inflationary pressures and weakness in the currency, the company filing said.
