In order to develop, design, build, own, and manage LNG import and regasification terminals in India, Petronet LNG Ltd was established.
As a joint venture with each holding 12.5%, GAIL, Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and ONGC founded it in 1998.
Financial Results:
- Petronet LNG Ltd. reported Total Income for Q4FY23 of ₹ 14,005 Crores up from ₹ 11,242 Crore year on year, a rise of 25%.
- Total Expenses for Q4FY23 of ₹ 13,210 Crores up from ₹ 10,262 Crores year on year, a rise of 29%.
- Consolidated Net Profit of ₹ 619 Crores, down 22% from ₹ 791 Crores in the same quarter of the previous year.
- The Earnings per Share is ₹ 4.13, down 22% from ₹ 5.27 in the same quarter of the previous year.
