Q1 FY26 Earnings Results

• Total Income: ₹197.42 crores, up 3.6% YoY (Q1 FY25: ₹193.15 crores) and up 12.0% QoQ (Q4 FY25: ₹176.29 crores).

• Total Expenses: ₹169.21 crores, up 7.6% YoY and up 15.5% QoQ.

• Profit Before Tax (PBT): ₹28.20 crores, down 22.3% YoY (Q1 FY25: ₹36.31 crores) and down 5.5% QoQ (Q4 FY25: ₹29.83 crores).

• Profit After Tax (PAT): ₹19.30 crores, down 29.6% YoY (Q1 FY25: ₹26.69 crores) and down 2.2% QoQ (Q4 FY25: ₹19.74 crores).

• Earnings Per Share (EPS): ₹1.04, sharply down from ₹4.10 in Q1 FY25 and ₹3.00 in Q4 FY25.

• Operating Profit: ₹4.26 crores, down 11.25% YoY (Q1 FY25: ₹4.80 crores).

• Net Profit Margin: 9.8%, down from 13.8% YoY.

• Tax Expense: ₹8.89 crores, down 7.7% YoY.

 

Management Commentary & Strategic Updates

• Profitability declined despite revenue growth as cost structure expanded faster than sales, reflecting margin pressure in the children’s apparel export segment.

• The company reported stable business volumes and highlighted ongoing quality and efficiency initiatives to maintain positioning with global brands.

• Kitex launched the ‘Little Star’ brand in India to diversify away from only export-oriented revenues, aiming for higher domestic market share.

• Operational focus remains on improving utilization and controlling expenses to recover margins in the coming quarters.
