Britannia Industries Limited had a strong financial performance in the quarter ended December 31, 2022, with a 16% growth in consolidated sales to Rs 4,101 crore. The operating profit grew by 55% to Rs 760 crore and the net profit grew by a significant 151% to Rs 932 crore, including an exceptional gain of Rs 359 crore from a joint venture agreement and sale of a 49% stake in its cheese business subsidiary. For the 9 months of FY23, the company saw a 16% growth in consolidated sales to Rs 12,093 crore, a 24% growth in operating profit to Rs 1,869 crore, and a 54% growth in net profit, including exceptional items, to Rs 1,763 crore.
