Earnings Summary Of Mahanagar Gas Limited For Q3 FY23

Mahanagar Gas Limited (NSE: MGL) is a city gas distribution company that supplies compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG) to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and the Raigad district in Maharashtra, India. The company was established in 1995 as a joint venture between GAIL (India) Limited, BG Asia Pacific Holdings Pte Limited and the Government of Maharashtra.

In terms of earnings, Revenue from Operations for Q3 FY23 was ₹1,838.44 crore, a 64% increase from ₹1,122.89 crore in the same period last year. The third quarter’s other income, which contributed ₹32.25 Crore to the Total Revenue. Meanwhile, the Profit Before Tax improved to ₹227.4 Crore from ₹75.18 Crore from the same quarter previous year. The Consolidated Net Profit was ₹172.07 crore, up 203% from ₹56.79 crore in the same quarter last year. This quarter’s earnings per share was ₹17.42.
