Avenue Supermarts Ltd reported revenues of ₹16,676 crore in Q1 FY26, a rise of 15.45% year-on-year from ₹14,444 crore. Total expenses increased by 16.03% to ₹15,751 crore from ₹13,575 crore. Consolidated net profit stood at ₹685 crore, up 3.95% from ₹659 crore in the same quarter last year. Earnings per share grew by 3.85% to ₹10.53 from ₹10.14 year-on-year.
Operational & Strategic Update
Revenue growth was driven by sustained demand and ongoing store expansion efforts. However, operating expenses rose moderately due to investments in capacity building, service improvements, and inflationary pressures on wages. Despite operating cost increases, the company maintained profitability growth aided by efficient procurement and distribution.
The product mix remains healthy with Foods representing a large share of sales, complemented by growth in Non-Foods (FMCG) and general merchandise. DMart continues to aggressively expand its footprint, opening nine new stores in Q1 FY26, bringing the total store count to 424.
