Sports clothing and accessories company $UA said its 1Q16 marketing costs rose $14.9MM to $122.5MM from $107.6MM for the same period a year ago. This rise in cost was mainly due to key marketing campaigns and investments in sponsorships. Marketing costs fell to 11.7% as a percentage of net revenues for 1Q16 from 13.4% for the same period in 2015.
Any idea why some investors are happy about the disastrous $UA results??
