In 2015, $UNP's Opex decreased nearly $1.5Bil from 2014 driven by significantly lower fuel prices and volume-related cost savings. Productivity gains in 2H15 also drove expenses lower. These decreases were partially offset by wage inflation, higher depreciation, and property taxes.
