Public utility holding company $GXP reported higher 1Q16 results, helped by higher operating revenue and lower fuel expense. $GXP said net income rose 40.5% to $26MM or $0.17 per share from $18.5MM or $0.12 per share a year ago. Operating revenue rose 4.18% to $572.1MM. $GXP is also affirming its 2016 earnings guidance of $1.65-1.80 per share.
