$FIS said that it has closed its acquisition of SunGard, a financial software & technology provider. The combined company will have more than 55,000 employees and $9.3Bil in revenue on a pro-forma basis. Regarding the acquisition, $FIS will repay SunGard's existing debt except for SunGard's senior notes which will be redeemed on Dec. 1, 2015.
