Biotech drugmaker $AMGN reported a rise in 1Q16 earnings driven by higher revenues and an increase in operating margins. Net income rose to $1.9Bil or $2.50 per share from $1.62Bil or $2.11 per share last year. Revenues grew to $5.53Bil from $5.03Bil. Adjusted EPS increased by 17% to $2.90.
