Off-price retailer $ROST posted higher 1Q16 earnings, helped by higher sales compared to last year. Net earnings were $291MM or $0.73 per diluted share compared to $282MM or $0.69 per diluted share in 1Q15. Sales increased 5% to $3.1Bil, with comparable store sales up 2% on top of a strong 5% gain in 1Q15.
