Discount store operator $DLTR reported a net income of $170.2MM or $0.72 per share in 2Q16 compared to a net loss of $98MM or $0.46 per share in 2Q15 helped by higher sales and margins. Net sales grew 65.9% to $5Bil from last year, driven by sales from both the Family Dollar stores and the new Dollar Tree stores and same-store sales increases.
