Life insurance major $MET said its 2Q16 earnings fell more than 90%, hurt by a non-cash charge to net income of $2Bil, net of deferred acquisition costs and after tax. The company reported 2Q16 earnings of $64MM, or $0.06 per share, compared to $1.04Bil, or $0.92 per share a year ago. Total operating revenue fell 2% to $16.96Bil.
