Clothing chain $GPS reported a drop in 1Q16 earnings due to lower sales as well as a negative impact of translation of foreign currencies into U.S. dollars. Net income fell to $127MM or $0.32 per share from $239MM or $0.56 per share last year. Net sales dropped to $3.44Bil from $3.66Bil. Comparable sales were down 5%.
