Contract drilling company $HP posted 1Q16 earnings of $16MM or $0.15 per diluted share on operating revenues of $488MM, compared to earnings of $204MM or $1.86 per diluted share on operating revenues of $1.06Bil in 1Q16. Earnings were hurt primarily due to lower revenues compared to a year-ago quarter.
