Seattle-based airliner $ALK reported a higher 2Q16 profit as an increase in passenger revenue boosted total operating revenue. The company reported earnings of $260MM or $2.10 per share for the latest reported quarter, compared with $234MM, or $1.79 per share a year ago. Passenger revenue rose 3% while total revenue increased 4% to $1.49Bil.
