During 1Q16, $HPQ said it recorded $54MM of net tax benefits related to discrete items in the provision for taxes for continuing operations. This amount included a tax benefit of $41MM arising from the retroactive R&D credit, a tax benefit of $6MM on restructuring charges, and a tax benefit of $39MM related to provision to return adjustments.
