Medical devices company $ISRG reported an increase in 3Q16 earnings helped by higher revenues and certain tax benefits. Net income was $211MM or $5.31 per share in 3Q16, up 26% compared to 3Q15. Adjusted net income was $246MM or $6.19 per share. Revenue grew approx. 16% to $683MM versus last year.
The latest earnings report by $VZ shows how it is losing customers despite offering the unlimited data plans, a record for the company.

$WFC agreed to hike its payout in a class-action settlement over unauthorized accounts by $32 million to $142 million for its retail sales practices. The settlement will now include customers who were impacted as early as May 2002.
