IT company $CSCO's 3Q16 operating income rose 2% versus 3Q15, mainly due to growth in GM driven by the sale of the lower margin SP Video CPE Business in 2Q16 and lower amortization expense related to acquisition-related intangible assets.
$ENDP announced an agreement to resolve all disputes with the FTC relating
to the patent infringement settlements in connection with its Opana ER and
Lidoderm products. It also resolves the FTC's claims against $ENDP’s subsidiary
Par Pharmaceutical Companies, Inc. in the action FTC v. Actavis, Inc. $ENDP will
make no monetary payment to the FTC.
$LOW announced appointment of Jocelyn Wong as Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately. Wong most recently served as SVP and General Merchandising Manager for the seasonal business. Jocelyn Wong will report to Michael McDermott, Chief Customer Officer, and succeeds Marci Grebstein who has left the company.
$MCD expects the food at home deflation in 2017 to not be as
favorable as it was in 2016. The Informal Eating Out industry is projected to
be relatively muted in 2017. If grocery store prices continue to rise, the
company views this as a positive for some of its traffic.
