Mass media company $CMCSA posted an earnings increase of 5.3% during 2Q16, mainly due to higher operating income. The company's net earnings were $2.14Bil or $0.84 per diluted share vs. $2.03Bil or $0.83 per diluted share in 2Q15. Revenue rose 2.8% to $19.3Bil vs. 2Q15, helped by higher revenues in the Cable Communications segment in the quarter.
