For Aug. 2016, $ALK's mainline segment, Alaska Airlines, reported an 8.7% rise in traffic on a 9.9% rise in capacity versus Aug. 2015. Load factor fell to 86.2%. Regional flying operated by subsidiary Horizon Air and third-party carriers, SkyWest and PenAir, reported a 12.2% rise in traffic on a 13.1% rise in capacity. Load factor fell to 82.5%.
