Auto insurance provider $PGR posted 1Q16 net income of $258.2MM or $0.44 per diluted share vs. $295.6MM or $0.50 per diluted share in 1Q15. Net premium returns rose 15% to $5.81Bil vs. 1Q15. For March 2016, net income was $60.8MM or $0.10 per diluted share. Revenues rose 14% to $5.55Bil vs. 1Q15 helped by higher fees & other, and service revenues.
$FOXA just entered into a preliminary deal with Sky plc under which it will acquire all shares, or should I say remaining shares for a total value of $23 billion. The sleeping fox catches no poultry, but this fox just caught something that’s a lot bigger than poultry.
