Tobacco and cigarette giant $MO reported higher 1Q16 results, helped by strong growth in its smokeable products segment. The company reported earnings of $1.22Bil. or $0.62 per share, compared with $1.02Bil, or $0.52 per share a year ago. Revenue rose 4.5% to $6.07Bil.
