San Ramon, California-based $CVX said its U.S. upstream operations incurred a loss of $1.95Bil in 4Q16, compared to earnings of $432MM from a year earlier. U.S. downstream operations earned $496MM, compared with earnings of $889MM a year earlier. Total Upstream incurred a loss of $1.36Bil while total Downstream earned $1.0Bil in the quarter.
