Water utility $AWK reported a rise in 1Q16 earnings driven by higher results in the Regulated Business segment, as growth continues to be driven by infrastructure investment and improved operating efficiencies. Net income rose to $82MM or $0.46 per share from $80MM or $0.44 per share last year. Operating revenues grew to $743MM from $698MM.
