Great results from $TSLA, however the question remains if Tesla can continue to scale up to produce the cars in the quantity it promises. Model 3 numbers need to be in multiples of what they are producing right now. Wish them the best, will keep an eye as I am still not convinced that they can scale easily.

Oil and gas industry supplier $NOV reported a 3Q16 loss due to higher goodwill impairment and restructuring charges. Net loss was $1.36Bil or $3.62 per share compared to a profit of $155MM or $0.41 per share in 3Q15. Revenues plunged 50% to $1.65Bil, hurt by lower revenues in segments. Excluding items, net loss was $128MM or $0.34 per share.

$IP said the volume QoverQ in Consumer Packaging was about flat in 3Q16. The company is seeing a slight uptick in food service in terms of shipments and bookings. The in-store traffic with food service and single-serve retail has been a slight headwind in 2016 for some retailers but overall, $IP performed well in this segment.

Commenting on the hiring of 95,000 temporary workers for the upcoming holiday season, $UPS reported that 37% of the peak hires since 2014 have become permanent hires. In some locations, the company will award bonuses to attract employees. $UPS doesn't expect any issues from this hiring.

$UPS reported that it automated 12 facilities in 2016. Production increased 25% in these locations. The testing of drone that was done in the beginning of the year was successful. $UPS will continue to experiment the drone until the company gets the ability to use it.
