Logistics company $UPS reported an increase in 2Q16 earnings helped by higher revenues and good segment performance. Net income was $1.26Bil or $1.43 per share in 2Q16 compared to $1.23Bil or $1.35 per share in 2Q15. EPS grew 6% in 2Q16. Total revenue was $14.6Bil, up 3.8% over 2Q15.

$WFC agreed to hike its payout in a class-action settlement over unauthorized accounts by $32 million to $142 million for its retail sales practices. The settlement will now include customers who were impacted as early as May 2002.
