$GWR's traffic for 1Q16 through Feb. rose by 130,611 carloads, or 41.8%, to 443,087 carloads from last year. Same-railroad traffic fell by 31,998 carloads, or 10.2%, to 280,478 carloads. Traffic in North American Operations slid 9.9%, that in Australian Operations fell by 13.3% and U.K./European Operations traffic was 162,609 carloads.
