On Sept. 22, 2015, $MET increased its share repurchase authorization from $261MM to $1Bil. Since the announcement, $MET had repurchased $261MM worth of stock, including $107MM in 3Q15. In the first nine months of 2015, $MET's total payout to shareholders was $2.3Bil, with roughly an even split between share repurchases and dividends.
