Airline company $ALK and $VA said their BoDs have approved a merger agreement by which $ALK will acquire $VA for $57 per share in cash. Total deal value is about $4Bil, including existing $VA indebtedness and capitalized aircraft operating leases. Combined airline will have 1,200 daily departures and about 280 aircraft.
