Auto insurance company $MCY reported a decline in 1Q16 earnings due to higher catastrophe losses, primarily from severe winter storms in northern California and in Texas. Net income fell to $23.32MM or $0.42 per share from $26.17MM or $0.47 per share last year. Total revenues grew to $823.92MM from $744.55MM. Operating EPS dropped 78% to $0.13.
