Welding products maker $LECO's 2Q16 profit fell, hurt by a charge. The company reported earnings of $31.3MM, or $0.45 cents per share, compared with $70.9MM, or $0.94 per share, a year ago. $LECO took a charge of $33.3MM, or $0.48 per share, due to the deconsolidation of its Venezuelan unit. Revenue fell 10.9% to $592.4MM on forex pressures.
$FOXA just entered into a preliminary deal with Sky plc under which it will acquire all shares, or should I say remaining shares for a total value of $23 billion. The sleeping fox catches no poultry, but this fox just caught something that’s a lot bigger than poultry.
