$NKE reported a 9% increase in earnings in 1Q17, helped by strong revenue growth, operating overhead leverage, a lower effective tax rate and a lower average share count. Net income was $1.25Bil or $0.73 per diluted share compared to $1.18Bil or $0.67 per diluted share last year. Revenue grew 8% from last year to $9.1Bil.
