The US Department of Labor released the Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report for the week ending Sept. 5 on Thursday. The seasonally adjusted initial claims were 275,000, which was a decrease of 2.14% or 6,000 from the prior week. The 4-week moving average was 275,750, an increase of 500 from the previous week's average.
