$PG, the world's largest maker of household and personal-care products, posted 2Q16 net income of $3.21Bil, or $1.12 per diluted share, up from $2.37Bil, or $0.82 per diluted share, a year ago. The increase was primarily driven by the cost reduction strategy. Core EPS was $1.04, up 9% YoY. Excluding FX impact, currency-neutral core EPS rose 21%.
