$NI's 3Q15 operating expenses were $498.4MM, a drop of $6.3MM from last year. This drop was mainly due to lower operation and maintenance expenses of $16.3MM, partly offset by increased depreciation and amortization of $8.7MM. The drop in operation and maintenance expenses was mainly due to decreased employee and administrative expenses of $12MM.
