Meat producer $TSN reported higher 2Q16 earnings driven by higher gross margin and lower cost of sales. $TSN said net income rose 39.3% to $432MM, or $1.10 per share from $310MM, or $0.75 per share a year ago. Revenue fell 8.1% to $9.17Bil. Excluding items, $TSN earned $1.07 per share.
