Plastic compounds and resins maker $SHLM reported higher 2Q16 results helped by higher net sales and gross margin. For the quarter, $SHLM posted net income of $1.59MM or a loss per share of $0.02 compared to a net loss of $0.888MM or $0.03 per share a year ago. Net sales rose 9.1% to $591.8MM. Excluding items, $SHLM earned $0.31 per share.
