In May 2015, $AME spent $198.8MM in cash to buy metal tubing maker Global Tubes, which is now part of Ametek's Electromechanical Group. The acquisition had an immaterial impact on $AME's sales, earnings and EPS for 2Q15 and 1H15. Amortization expense for each of the next 5 years for the Global Tubes acquisition is expected to about $3MM per year.
